Cheese is used as the main element in many popular dishes, but not everyone can eat regular cheese, which comes from milk and contains lactose. That's why we're bringing here a potato cheese option for those who are lactose intolerant or who prefer a healthier alternative to their cheese.

What is the benefit of using potatoes instead of milk?

Although milk is a source of vitamins and helps to strengthen bones, potatoes actually do the same and even more! In addition to helping those who cannot consume lactose, replacing milk with potato brings the benefits of this vegetable.

Potatoes are an excellent source of iron, magnesium and calcium, helping to maintain healthy bones. In addition to these benefits to your bone structure, the potato is also responsible for:

  • Help your brain work faster
  • reduce your stress
  • do good for your heart
  • soften the TPM

Plus, few ingredients and preparation are needed for this Potato Cheese recipe! Below is everything you need to make this delicious cheese.

Can this recipe be considered vegan or light/diet?

Despite not using milk, thus being less caloric than a normal cheese, this recipe still uses salt and potatoes, which are no longer a 100% light food by themselves, so this recipe would fit the title of vegan more than diet or light.

The recipe is a good option for those who do not want to consume products derived from animals and still eat healthy.

It is also worth noting that despite using salt, this amount is small and, therefore, is not harmful, as long as it is consumed in moderation. But it's easy to get carried away with such a tasty and easy-to-make recipe, isn't it?
