Ingredients halloween savory pie

  •  300 g Itabom chicken breast
  •  500 g pumpkin
  •  1 g of nutmeg
  •  4 pieces of cream cheese
  •  300 g puff pastry
  •  30 g of powdered milk-type dairy compound

Way of doing halloween savory pie

Preheat the oven to 200°C. On squash in a pan, cover with 3 fingers above water and cook 20 to 25 minutes, or until tender. Cover the pan to make it cook faster. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil and sear one side of the chicken for 3 minutes. Turn on its side and add 100 ml of water. Cover the skillet and cook for another 4 minutes, or until the water evaporates. Meanwhile, dilute the powdered milk-like dairy compound in 100 ml of water and set aside.

When the chicken is done cooking, place it on a plate and shred it with a fork while it is still hot to make it easier. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet over medium heat, add the nutmeg, dissolved milk and cream cheese. Mix well until smooth and, if necessary, adjust the amount of salt. Reserve.

Drain the water from the pumpkin and then remove the pulp with the help of a spoon. Now, with the help of a fork or juicer, mash the pumpkin until it becomes a puree.

Season with salt and a drizzle of oil. Tip: To make the puree smoother, pass it through a sieve. To assemble the pie, choose a shape, preferably round, approximately 20 cm in size. Then take the puff pastry and line the bottom and sides of the baking dish. If you use a rectangular baking sheet, you can splice one dough into the other to fill the entire bottom and sides. Place the shredded chicken inside the pie and, on top, spread the pumpkin puree. Optional: use the leftover dough to make the face of your “Halloween” pumpkin.

Brush the edges of the dough with oil and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden. Serve immediately.
